From the Aegean coast of western Turkey, this antique terracotta vessel was traditionally used for storing olive oil. Hand-thrown in the Kınık region, where clay has been worked for centuries, it carries the soft, chalky tones typical of the area — warm terracotta fading into pale stone with subtle traces of lime and mineral bloom.
The form is tall and elegant, with a gentle taper and the kind of surface variation that only time can create. Its timeless Mediterranean patina makes it an effortless fit for English countryside homes, cottages, and rustic farmhouse interiors, where natural texture and muted colour bring quiet warmth. Beautiful styled with an Olive Tree or left empty as a sculptural statement.
