DF1-1154
A rare, low-fired terracotta vessel once used for open-fire cooking in rural Turkish kitchens. Its wide, rounded body and thick rim were designed to withstand direct heat, while the twin side handles allowed for lifting in and out of the embers. The surface carries a beautiful charred patina — deep, smoky tones of umber, soot, and clay blending together from years of use.
Today, it makes a striking centrepiece or sculptural bowl for farmhouse, rustic kitchen, or wabi-sabi interiors, adding texture and warmth to a console or tabletop.
