This antique terracotta jar originates from the coastal regions of Anatolia, where it was used to store olive oil. Hand-thrown from local clay and fired in open kilns, it shows the soft gradation of colour that comes from uneven heat — warm clay tones fading into pale, chalked pinks at the base. The surface carries subtle marks of use and age, giving it a quiet, natural depth.
Now converted in the UK into a table lamp, it has a calm, sculptural presence — simple in form, rich in tone.
