Hand-thrown in western Turkey, this terracotta vessel was used for storing oils and provisions. Its rounded body and slightly tapered base give it a balanced, easy shape, while the heavily fired surface shows deep mineral markings, darker patches and natural wear built up over time.
Now converted in the UK into a table lamp, it has a solid, grounded feel that works well on consoles, sideboards or larger bedside tables — the texture doing most of the work.
