Hand-thrown in the pottery villages of Kınık in western Turkey, this double-handled terracotta pot carries the unmistakable warmth of the region’s red clay. Once used for storing olive oil, its surface was brush-painted with mineral-rich pigments that melted and flowed in the kiln, forming a molten glaze of amber, green, and deep brown.
Each Kınık piece is unique, shaped by the hand that made it and the heat of the kiln. A beautiful fit for English countryside, Mediterranean, and rustic cottage interiors — perfect for dried stems, branches, or simply as a sculptural accent.
