Sunbaked Terracotta Table Lamp

This antique terracotta jar comes from southern Anatolia, where it was once used for storing olive oil. Hand-shaped from coarse red clay, it has a tall, weighty form with twin looped handles at the shoulder. The surface shows deep tonal variation, areas of mineral residue, and scattered pale marks — the natural wear of years of practical use.

Now converted in the UK into a table lamp, it has a strong, grounded form that feels raw yet quietly refined.
